DUSTIN R. WOMBLE
Founder
Dustin R. Womble is a Founder and Partner at Masked Rider Capital and serves as a visionary for the firm with decades of executive leadership and business expertise from time spent developing his technology company into a multi-billion dollar publicly traded enterprise.
Mr. Womble began his career in 1980 when he founded Interactive Computer Designs (“INCODE”), a provider of software products and related services principally for county and city governments. He grew INCODE from a sole proprietorship to a $6 million national enterprise before merging it with two other companies in the reformation of Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) in 1998. At that time, he joined the company as executive vice president.
During his time at Tyler Technologies, Mr. Womble was responsible for product strategy at the corporate level and served as president of two different divisions of the company. Under his leadership, Tyler grew to a market cap greater than $22B with more than 9,000 employees. He retired from Tyler in 2016 and completed his service on the Board of Directors in 2024.
Mr. Womble is the Chairman of the Board for Metallenium, LLC, a privately held equipment leasing company that provides contract compression services throughout the Permian Basin. He also has active roles in the leadership of several local businesses, including Carizma Motors, LLC, a BHPH used car business, and TRUNO, a national provider of grocery point-of-sale solutions. Additionally, he has served on the board of directors for Lubbock Christian School for more than a decade.
Mr. Womble was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Board of Regents for the Texas Tech University System in 2019 and was reappointed in 2025. Currently, he serves on the board as Chairman of the Facilities Committee. Previous recognitions from Texas Tech include the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business Advisory Council and membership on the executive committee of the Texas Tech Foundation. In October of 2021, Mr. Womble made the largest donation to Texas Tech Athletics, at that time, with a $20MM lead gift for a new football training facility, the Dustin R. Womble Football Center. This gift and a previous donation to the Dustin R. Womble Basketball Center made him the largest lifetime individual donor to the Texas Tech Athletic Department to date.
A lifelong supporter of Texas Tech, Mr. Womble earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in management information systems from Texas Tech University in 1981.
Since 1977, Mr. Womble and his wife, Leisha, have called Lubbock home. The Womble family includes three daughters, Brooke, Brianne, and Alyssa, as well as three sons, Blake, Brett, and Luke. Mr. Womble’s most cherished role is being a grandfather to his ten grandchildren.
